Nothing much to write here of any particular subject, but things are going pretty well.
(A) Pretty uneventful weekend, though I got the mountain bike out to Crabtree Sunday and had some fun. The leaves were covering the trail a lot but you could still mostly see where to go. I think one thing I miss about mountain biking now that I’m /sort of/ decent is I don’t get to crash in interesting ways and draw as much blood, or I recognize when I’m about to take a stupid line and don’t do it. This also means I’m less likely to be rescued by beautiful Amazonians living in the forrest. Nah, seriously — this results in it feeling less EXTREEEEEEEEEME or something. No squirrels or deer sighted. I was nice and let lots of people coming the other way go by. Few said thanks. Next time I’m running them over.
(B) Due to incredibly bad luck, went to the grocery store 3 times. Think I still forgot some stuff. Perhaps I am cursed. I also went to the mall to get some jeans, which is a remarkable event of great accomplishment for me. If you recall the thread on Fedora Planet a while back about “if you were trapped in a mall when zombies invaded and could choose one famous person to fight with you, one weapon, and one song to play on infinite repeat” my response was to the effect of “Zombies? Malls? Let’s be incredibly realistic here. I hate malls.”
(C) I decided to sell my current-musical-fun-device for a Moog Voyager (the one with the touch screen and cool LED backlights). I’m not meant to be a hugely talented piano player or anything and I like interesting noises more. Filter sweeps and wave sweeps and feedback — I can be good at that. It’s a bit expensive though I’m justifying it by getting rid of some other stuff and being an early Christmas present to me. No, I haven’t been good this year.
(D) Work is going pretty well, I got an advance look at Cobbler article that David Nalley has going into Linux Pro that I’m very excited about, and there should be some video coming out to Red Hat Magazine shortly that will include Func (with Adrian and Seth) and also Cobbler interviews. My first video on the net that I know of. Didn’t think I mentioned that but should have links later. I’m trying to stabilize Cobbler’s development branch to get a 1.4 release out — added some simple stuff, like keeping datestamps and comments on the objects. Patched in some other goodness as well. We’re also talking a bit more about integration with Spacewalk and the underlying logisitics which is good — because I finally get to go to some meetings. Seriously, I like meetings. You know, that’s probably weird, but whatever. I like meetings. Especially if I get to sniff whiteboard markers.
(E) Hmm, what else?
Lasers. No. Mooses. No. It’s kinda cold and dark. That’s about it.
