Hey You Pixar Folks

Let me introduce you to the concept of “editing”. This is where you take out a movie that is twice as long as it should be, and make it EXACTLY as long as it should be. Other people can do it. You seem to not bother.

Liked the first 30 minutes of Wall-E (great animation, made even better with the lack of dialog, could have been brilliant), but the rest ugh, pain. I keep saying this with everyone one of their films, so you’d think I’d learn. Pretty much everything after the 30 minute mark sucked and was incredibly drawn out. It was like they let some really sharp guy do the first 30 minutes, and turned the rest of the movie over to someone else with some exec saying “we need more”. As they kind of suck at rendering people, they would have done well to leave the people out of it. Nicely rendered robots at first, then poorly rendered people and a lot of drawn out “plot” it didn’t need.

Also, dude, you so totally ripped off Johnny 5.

(For an OT note, if you are a homeless guy living on top of an overpass in the Summer, you shouldn’t have a dog tied to that overpass. Perhaps they think people might be thinking “wow, he has a dog, I better give him money”, but it’s a horrible place to keep a dog tied up all day in the heat, and I seriously doubt it has sufficient food/water and sees the vet. Even more shame to the guy carrying around the puppy where it can’t even pace back and forth.)

Rant over.
